Is CBD Legal in Oklahoma & Kansas?
CBD is extracted from the hemp plant. Industrial hemp is a variety of the Cannabis Sativa L. species which contains Non-Detectable THC; a psychotropic compound. In contrast, THC is contained in large concentrations (28%+!) in the well-known hemp species marijuana.
Due to this difference in psychotropic activity, Oklahoma House Bill 1559 and Kansas State Bill 282 were passed in order to make a clear distinction between marijuana and CBD.
